What is vehicle keeper information?

The DVLA holds a register containing details of all vehicles licensed for use on the road, not available for vehicles registered in Northern Ireland. This register also contains the name and address of the registered keeper of each vehicle. The registered keeper of a vehicle is the person or organisation responsible for the licensing and use of that vehicle - this is often, but not always, the legal owner. Cost 500 premium search credits. To proceed with a vehicle trace we will need to confirm your identity via a credit search to confirm residency and you will need to supply a landline telephone number so that we may confirm the vehicle trace instruction. To obtain DVLA log keeper data using false details is a criminal offence.

The Vehicle trace will return:

  • The name and address for registered keeper
  • The full Vehicle details
  • We will confirm whether the keeper is resident or not at the declared address and supply any direct telephone contact details.

(Vehicle Trace) No information will be disclosed to any subscriber if we are not certain and comfortable your supplied home address and personal details are accurate and the data requested is being obtained for a lawful reason. Please see our complete terms and conditions for full details. All Log keeper trace instructions are carried out by Mr Ian Hurst of trace4u a full member of the association of british investigators ABI number F/1596 - We process all DVLA searches via an agreement to process between the association of British Investigators and the DVLA.

We can further confirm access to this information is only available subject to any of the following conditions although it is clearly understood that if we are not confident the request is lawful ( even if it complies with the conditions detailed below ) the instruction will not be processed. All Log keeper traces will be strictly processed in accordance with our terms and conditions of trade:

  • Vehicle subject to repossession in regards to a judgement debt.
  • Vehicle that is subject of hire purchase or other lease or finance agreements.
